What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and the general type of device and browser. We run it in cookieless Consent Mode, so it does not store cookies on your device or identify you personally. What we see is aggregated.

Email alerts. If you sign up for seasonal foraging alerts, we store the email address you give us and any region or species you choose to follow, so we can send you those updates. We use it only for that purpose. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Server logs. Like most websites, our host (Google Firebase Hosting) keeps standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

Cookies

Because our analytics run in cookieless mode, this site does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site: Google (Analytics, Firebase Hosting, and Firestore) and Resend (which delivers our email alerts). Each handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access or delete any personal information you have given us by emailing nick@rarecombinations.com. If you receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
