Northern and Central Appalachians Foraging Calendar Pennsylvania's central mountains and the Western Allegheny Plateau. Excellent ramp, morel, and autumn mushroom territory in old-growth hemlock and maple-beech forest; wild ginger and black walnuts are plentiful.
