Ouachita Mountains Foraging Calendar
East-west folded sandstone mountains of Arkansas and Oklahoma, including the Arkansas Valley. Mixed pine-hardwood forests yield morels, chanterelles, and chicken of the woods; black walnuts and pawpaws grow in creek bottoms.
