Southern California Coast Foraging Calendar
The coastal plains, terraces, and low hills from Santa Barbara to the Mexican border, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Channel Islands. A mild climate brings wood sorrel and miner's lettuce in late winter and spring, blue elderberries in early summer, and prickly pear pads year-round, with cholla buds in late spring.
